About the role

The Workshop Trade Assistant role will be a full range of workshop duties from unloading shipment containers to basic preparation of new forklifts. This role also involves the following, but is not limited to:

• Basic prep of new and used forklifts
• Forklift operations
• Assist workshop where needed
• Wash down and detail machines
• Pick up and deliveries
• Packing and shipping of orders
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Unpacking overseas freight
• Any other duties that may be reasonably required from time to time.

What you’ll need to succeed

• A genuine interest in mechanical equipment
• Ability to undertake manual physical work
• Punctual, reliable, and energetic
• Forklift industry preferred
• Minimum 12 month as a T/A essential
• Manual driver’s license
• Forklift License
• HR drivers license preferred but not essential
