About the role
The Workshop Trade Assistant role will be a full range of workshop duties from unloading shipment containers to basic preparation of new forklifts. This role also involves the following, but is not limited to:
- Basic prep of new and used forklifts
- Forklift operations
- Assist workshop where needed
- Wash down and detail machines
- Pick up and deliveries
- Packing and shipping of orders
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Unpacking overseas freight
- Any other duties that may be reasonably required from time to time.
What you’ll need to succeed
- A genuine interest in mechanical equipment
- Ability to undertake manual physical work
- Punctual, reliable, and energetic
- Forklift industry preferred
- Minimum 12 month as a T/A essential
- Manual driver’s license
- Forklift License
- HR drivers license preferred but not essential
