Workshop Coordinator
About the opportunity:
The Workshop Coordinator is directly responsible for providing strong leadership and direction to all our workshop, paint shop, and yard staff to ensure all equipment is repaired, serviced, and maintained on time and in line with business requirements.
As the Workshop Coordinator, you must also work closely with all internal divisions to meet the business requirements.
This is a genuine supervisor role where you will use your previous skills and experience to mentor and coach your team. You will be the driver of the team to improve the productivity and profitability of our workshop.
Key responsibilities will include:
Maximize the productivity and effectiveness of the Workshop Team through motivation, high-quality work and attention to detail.
Ensure that the progress of all workshop work is monitored and communicated to the relevant people. Ensure that hours are watched and quoted targets are met. Provide clear communication channels and advise of any job likely to run over the quoted times with appropriate rationale.
Develop employee engagement throughout your team, ensuring high-quality, two-way communications with all team members and management.

What you will need to succeed:
- Proven experience in leading a team with a focus on coaching and motivating individuals to achieve desired results
- You are committed to workplace safety and have a sound knowledge of OH&S practices and standards.
- Ability to work under deadlines and meet key performance indicators
- Forklift industry knowledge and experience, including solid troubleshooting, diagnostic and preventative maintenance skills.
- Sound computer literacy in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
- A current High-Risk Work Licence (Forklift) is highly desirable.
